Domestic Long Haul

Long haul, intermediate and local operations

Written for U.S.-based trucking companies operating anywhere from local delivery to a 2,500 mile radius. Fleets domiciled along the border qualify directly. Fleets further inside the United States qualify where they have a direct relationship with a Mexican transfer counterpart or sister company.

Writing domestic alongside our cross-border programs lets us cover a load door to door — from a Mexican shipper, through the border, to final delivery in the United States.

Who qualifies

  • U.S.-based trucking companies domiciled along the U.S./Mexico border, or located further inside the U.S. with a direct relationship to a Mexican transfer counterpart or sister company
  • Active MC and USDOT numbers
  • Hazardous materials permit issued by FMCSA where hazmat is hauled
  • International drivers permitted

Driver requirements

  • Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL, licensed in the garaging state
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 36 months, or 3 moving violations plus 1 at-fault accident
  • All drivers scheduled on the policy

What we don't write

Autos in transit, hazardous materials requiring limits above $1,000,000 CSL, dump trucks, cement mixers, tow trucks and wreckers, livestock haulers, commercial buses and tour vans, emergency and government-owned vehicles, private passenger vehicles, motorcycles, travel trailers and motor homes.
